Change.

People show you who they are the first time you meet them, it all depends on if your paying attention. Throughout the duration of knowing someone you'll see bits and pieces of who they truly are even if they try and conceal it. Even when they aren't trying to hide it and instead you choose to believe your own version of who they are you'll still see their true self behind that delusion.

Some people don't change, not for you. They'll tell you who they are from the beginning and you'll not believe it and hope they'll change or you'll believe it and try to change them. They won't. No one will change if you try and make them, they'll only change for the person they want to change for.

You'll always have a little impact and change on everybody you meet but to expect everyone to change entirely just because of you is unrealistic. You could be lucky and find someone who will want to change because of you, but you can't try and make them.

Maybe you'll love someone so much and they'll want to change for you to keep that love. Maybe someone will love you so much that they'll want to change for you to gain your love. Maybe you've simply inspired their minds and influenced them in want to try and change.

But you can't expect it. You can't force it. All you can do is simply watch and listen to who they truly are and choose to welcome that person into your life. Don't be afraid to walk away and choose yourself because you don't want someone who is like them, you are entitled to what you want and what you deserve and you shouldn't settle for less. If you want someone to change you need to change your expectations of them or leave if you can't handle who they truly are in that moment. The only way to happiness is to embrace people at their truest selves.

I've met people that I've influenced change in them, I've met people that want to change because of how I've affected them, I've met people I've desperately wanted to change. But no matter what, I'll always take them for who they are, I'll listen to their truest self and from there I'll make my own decision. If I can't handle that or if its not what I want or if it hurts me too much, I'll leave.

Because you shouldn't stay if they aren't providing you with what you want and what you deserve and you shouldn't stay in hopes that they'll change and put yourself through torment even just for a little happiness. Choose yourself and I promise one day someone will choose you, then you'll be the happiest.
