Remember.

You have to always remember.

These people don't care for you the same as you do. They don't love you the same as you do. They don't feel things the same as you do. They don't think things the same as you do. They don't act the same way as you do. They don't speak the same as you do.

You have to always remember. 

Everyone is different. No two people will ever feel the same or think the same or act the same. So don't hold others accountable for actions of your own. Don't hold others feelings accountable as if their yours. Don't hold others accountable for thoughts of your own. They will never be like you.

You have to always remember.

Some will care for you less, love you less, feel less, think less, do less. That doesn't mean it has anything to do with your character and who you are. Sure, maybe you so some things that are wrong. Sure, maybe you make some big and small mistakes. But you can always learn from those and grow from them.

You have to always remember.

Just because you changed, just because you got better, just because your doing the work- doesn't mean they'll stay. They don't owe you anything nor do you them. If you change and be better that doesn't mean that they won't ever leave you, that just means you can confidently say you did the best you could. And if you change and be better that doesn't mean you have to stay.

You have to always remember.

Choose yourself first, love yourself, care for yourself, think for yourself, feel for yourself, act for yourself. Be your person, and be a damn good one as well. Because anyone can leave at the drop of a dime. Anyone can leave you at any point and sometimes you don't get a reason why. But, you'll always be there for yourself. So treat yourself kindly, love yourself loudly, care for yourself wholeheartedly, because you shouldn't rely on others to do that for you.

Sometimes we have to accept things we don't understand. Sometimes we won't ever get the answer to things or we won't ever understand. Sometimes you'll just never know and that's okay. It's okay to not know. It's okay to be left in the dark.
